After a poor record and attendance for the ’83 & ’84 seasons, the Washington Federals moved to Orlando to become the Renegades in the ’85 season, unfortunately we only had them for a single season. Playing at the Citrus Bowl and coached by the legendary Lee Corso. The Renegades only managed a 5-13 record that season, attendance was decent considering they were sharing territory space with the Tampa Bay Bandits. After the ’85 season there were talks from the USFL of combining the Orlando, Tampa, and Jacksonville teams and focusing attention on the more successful franchises. Ultimately, the Renegades were one team selected to continue into the ’86 season, sadly the entire league collapsed prior to the start of the season.
At Retrolando, we produce our Orlando Renegades Tri-blend tees to emulate a vintage plastisol effect and will arrive with a distressed look. The print will further distress over the first wash or two to create an authentic, vintage appearance.
These Orlando Renegades Tri-blend tees are a combo of 50/25/25 polyester/combed ring spun cotton/rayon. They are super comfortable and lightweight.
