Harper's Tavern

Harper's Tavern in Winter Park, Florida, was a cherished spot for locals and Rollins College students, originally opening in 1927 as a feed store before becoming a popular tavern in 1932. It became a hub for the community until a devastating fire in 1996 led to its closure. The building was later restored and hosted various businesses, including O'boys BBQ, Big Star restaurant, The Boathouse, and Drake’s Bar, which kept the spirit of the tavern alive. While Harper’s Tavern is no longer part of the town’s landscape, its rich history and impact on Winter Park remain an important part of the community’s identity.
